Did you know?

[Photo above: seafood soup made with white radishes, radish greens, and onions from last week's Lincoln box.]

There's a Flickr group for "photographs of local and/or CSA (community supported agriculture) produce, farms, recipes, events, and people." I posted some of my recent photos of the Lincoln box and a bowl of soup I made with the contents. If you also take photos of the things you make, come join me there. It's interesting to see what other CSA folks are doing all over the country.

Oh, that looks yummy. You can swap leftovers with me anytime.

Do you also want to post exchanges of backyard produce? I have Meyer lemons I would like to trade for oranges or avocados. In about a month, I will have another cilantro bumper crop.

I also have tons of bay leaves and rosemary to give away to anyone who wants them.

That would be cool. We'll have our oranges in December, I suspect, based on past performance. Right now we have three green peppers in progress, and plenty of chives, and some sage. Maybe one or two straggler tomatoes still left on the vine. And mint from our garden too, already dried in bundles, hanging from our dining room light, ready to make into tea.

I loved that soup. It was the first thing I made with last week's box.
